Emilie Schwerin, wife of
Dutch Schwerin, mother of Dallas, Colt, and Savannah Schwerin,
passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004. She was a loving,
caring woman, who was ultimately the driving force behind Dacosa
Speedway. Without her, this dream would not have come true.
She went to school in Atlanta, Georgia, to learn how to use the AMB
transponders that Dacosa Speedway now uses. This is the same
system that is used in NASCAR, IRL, and many more professional
motorsports.

A Personal Note From Danny.....
This past
week, we lost a very special friend, and track owner. Ms
Emilie Schwerin, wife of Dutch Schwerin, and mother of
Dallas, Colt, and Savannah, died at her home near DACOSA
speedway. I had the blessed honor of knowing Emilie, and
attending AMB scoring school with her in Atlanta last
year. She was an awesome lady who loved kart racing, and
loved her family and was able to combine the two
together to help create and produce DACOSA Speedway as
one of the best new asphalt tracks around anywhere. Her
strength, compassion, and love for our sport will be
missed.
The karting
community has lost someone special to us all. Emilie's
work and dedication has helped strengthened our sport
for years to come.
Please keep
the Schwerin's in your thoughts and prayers at this most
difficult time for them.
