Firecracker Shootout July 4th and 5th, 2008

1)  The Wasted and Basted professional championship BBQ cooking team will be at Dacosa Speedway this Friday and Saturday cooking and selling pork butts.  Pork butts will be available Friday afternoon only at Dacosa.  BBQ sandwiches will be sold on Saturday, July 5th, at the concessions stand.  It's a great time to pick up some killer BBQ and get an awesome looking t-shirt!

2)  We have added a strictly Novice class for this weekend's Dynamic Electric Firecracker Shootout.  This class will be a mix between speedway karts and champ karts, flathead motors and animal motors.  The sole purpose of this class is to foster better drivers by giving them the opportunity to earn valuable practice time at Dacosa while other competitors are on the track as well.  As of right now, I have three confirmed racers in this class.

3)  It figures.  The only time that we don't need it to rain, it looks like it may happen.  If it does, the race will be on Sunday, July 6th.  We encourage everyone to not be strayed away by the storms and come on out to Dacosa.  We can take a good amount of rain and still race without any problems.....it's a high banked asphalt track, practically sheds water itself already.  A couple of years ago, we had to wait for a little bit while it rained for about 20 minutes before qualifying, we ended up getting the show back going and finishing up the night strong.

A GUARANTEED BONUS of $100 will be given to the winner and a GUARANTEED BONUS of $50 will be given to the runner-up of the following classes:

Junior 1
Junior 2
Junior 3
Sportsman Champ 1
Sportsman Champ 2

All Junior 1, Junior 2, Junior 3, Sportsman Champ 1, or Sportsman Champ 2 racers have the chance at winning $500 - 16 karts must be entered per class.
